Adoptable Adults
( Retired Show/Performance)

All our retirees are adoptable on a spay/neuter contract with an adoption fee.
New homes must pick up in Texas or arrange for transport via an approved puppy nanny. NO CARGO TRANSPORT.
If you interested in one of our Dogs please fill out our Application. Answers to all questions on the form are required to be considered for one of our dogs.
Adopting a retired show dog can provide a well-socialized and experienced companion, accustomed to attention and busy environments. A retired show dog is well socialized, well cared for, and often are coming from multi-dog households so they really appreciate and enjoy all the individual attention from their new homes. However, if you are thinking of adding a retired show dog to your home, it is still essential to choose a responsible and ethical breeder who breeds with the intent of improving the Breed and will continue to support you throughout the life of your beloved companion.

Consider adopting one of our retired show dogs if:
  • You want a beloved companion, but don't love the thought of raising a puppy so you prefer a mature dog that you know the dogs history and information about the dog's personality and temperament.  Our retired show dogs come pre-spoiled, crate trained and house broken. Our dogs are part of our family and live in our home, so we know their quirks, health, history and personality and look for homes that match.
  • You are looking for a dog already accustomed to public attention and handling by strangers.  Our retired show dogs have "been there - done that". We have often traveled thousands of miles together to shows and performance events.
  • You can identify and connect with a breeder who used positive training methods and is willing to place their retired dogs in homes. The decision to retire a dog from our program never comes easily for us. We develop strong bonds with all our dogs and we will ugly cry when they leave us.   As with our puppy home placements, we will want to continue to stay in touch with our adoptable adults throughout their lives in their "retirement" homes.

Sting

Sting, a 4 year old chocolate piebald male, combines beautiful breed type with an independent but affectionate - not clingy in your pocket- disposition. Sting is slightly under 16” at shoulder and weighs about 24 lbs.

Sting would thrive as a cherished family companion or performance buddy. He is already started in AKC Scent Work and shows great promise, displaying strong natural ability and enthusiasm for sniffer games.

He is used to regular nail trimming with a Dremel.  He needs an owner that knows how to handle a terrier personality. He is crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night. He comes from health tested, AKC Champion lines. He is microchipped and up to date on shots and has had monthly heartworm preventative and passed health testing for OFA CHIC and OFA normal spine.   AKC Limited papers (Non-breeding.)

Sting comes with lifetime breeder support as we will want to continue to stay in touch with his new home.
